Self Assessment for partnerships

File the partnership SA800 and each partner’s SA104 online. Partnership path from £69 + VAT when you file. Prepare free. Software only.

In short

Self Assessment Software covers the partnership SA800 pack (trading pages, statement, SA801–SA804) and each partner’s personal SA100 with SA104. The nominated partner should finish the SA800 first so partners can complete their shares. Individuals on the Partnership path pay £69 + VAT per tax year when they file that return; practices use filing credits for client tax years. Prepare free. Not bookkeeping and not tax advice. Confirm how multi-partner filings are charged on Pricing before you buy.

Why partnerships

Built for the partnership return path

Finish the SA800 statement early so every partner’s SA104 matches — then file personal returns with the share figures.

SA800 pack in one desk

Prepare the partnership return with trading pages, statement and SA801–SA804 when they apply — alongside personal SA100 work.

Partnership path pricing

Individuals on the Partnership plan pay £69 + VAT per tax year when they file. Practices buy filing credits. See partnership pricing for the published list.

SA800 then SA104

The nominated partner files the partnership return. Each partner still files a personal SA100 with their share.

FAQs

Partnerships — questions answered

How much does partnership Self Assessment cost?

Individuals on the Partnership path pay £69 + VAT per tax year when they file. Practices use filing credits (packs from £179). Prepare free. There is no monthly subscription. For multi-partner firms, confirm how many returns you need to file — see Partnership pricing.

Do I need both an SA800 and an SA104?

Usually yes. The SA800 is the partnership’s return. SA104 is the partner’s share on the individual’s SA100. The partnership statement on the SA800 feeds SA104. See the What is an SA800? guide.

Who files the SA800?

The nominated (representative) partner is responsible for sending the partnership tax return. Every partner still files their own individual Self Assessment return. Confirm registration steps on GOV.UK.

I am a sole trader without a partnership — which plan?

Use Self-employed & property at £49 + VAT. The Partnership plan (£69) is for SA104 or the SA800 path.

Is this bookkeeping or tax advice?

No. There are no invoices or bank feeds, and the product is software only — not a human accountant. Keep bookkeeping elsewhere; confirm forms and dates on GOV.UK.

When is the SA800 due?

For ordinary partnerships of individuals, paper is typically 31 October and online 31 January after the tax year — the same pattern as personal Self Assessment. See the Self Assessment deadline guide and confirm on GOV.UK.
