FAQs
vs TaxCalc — questions answered
How does your pricing compare to TaxCalc Individual 12?
TaxCalc Individual 12 is about £187/year for up to 12 clients on published accountancy list pricing (checked September 2026). Our accountant credits start at £179 for 10 filings (ex VAT), with unlimited logins, and individuals pay from £39 per tax year when they file. TaxCalc’s separate DIY product Individual 6 (~£42) is not the practice band.
Do you undercut TaxCalc on every band?
Not always — it depends how many returns you file and whether you need TaxCalc’s wider stack. For SA-only pay-per-filing with prepare-free drafting, we are usually simpler and cheaper on small books.
Does TaxCalc do more than Self Assessment?
Yes. TaxCalc sells CT, accounts and MTD quarterly as separate products. We focus on year-end SA100 production today.
Can I draft returns before buying credits?
Yes. In Self Assessment Software, drafting never uses a credit. You pay (or apply a credit) when that client tax year is filed.
