Personal return hub
Guided Self Assessment from personal details to file
Open a tax year, tick what applies, then complete only the pages you need. HMRC box numbers sit on the fields. Status moves from draft through review and approved before you submit.
- Six clear steps Personal → what applies → pages → SA100 topics → SA110 tax → filing desk. Built for the individual return, not a company wizard.
- Mixed income years Employment, self-employment, property, savings, dividends, pensions, Gift Aid, student loan, capital gains and more — together in one year.
- Live preview calculation See an estimated bill while you work, then open the full calculation and reports when you are ready to check.
Calculation & reports
Tax calculation, SA302-style estimate and client letters
The combined calculator runs from the return. Produce an SA302-style estimate, detailed schedule, payment note and tax letter — print them or email the letter and payment note to the client.
- Combined tax calculation Income, allowances, Income Tax, Class 2/4 NI and related charges in one engine — including payments on account suggestions on SA110.
- SA302-style estimate + schedule A calculation summary lenders often ask for, plus a line-by-line schedule. Not an official HMRC SA302 until HMRC issues one after filing.
- Payment note & tax letter Balancing payment and payments on account dates, plus a covering tax letter you can save and email from the reports desk.
Partnership SA800
Partnership returns in the same Self Assessment desk
Run the partnership return alongside personal SA returns. Set members, complete the SA800 pack, produce the partnership statement, then copy allocations onto each partner’s SA104.
- Full SA800 pack SA800 with trading pages, SA801 property, SA802 foreign, SA803 capital gains, SA804 other information, and short or full partnership statement.
- Members & nominated partner Maintain the partnership, members and nominated partner, then work the year hub step by step.
- Copy to SA104 Push partnership allocations onto partners’ personal returns so the SA104 does not start from a blank sheet.
HMRC filing desk
Review, approve, submit — and amend when needed
A dedicated filing desk with readiness checks, review and approval, submission history and unlock/amend flows. Practices can send figures for client approval before filing.
- Readiness checks See what still blocks filing — missing pages, unsigned declaration, or figures that need another look.
- Practice client approval Email a secure link so the client can approve or decline the figures before the practice submits.
- Amendments on the same year After a return is accepted, start an amendment, update the figures, and move through review again for that tax year.
Practices & individuals
One product — two ways to work
Accountants run a multi-client practice workspace. Individuals file their own return only. Same forms, calculation, reports and filing desk either way.
- Practice client book Client list, search, filing credits for client years, dashboard pipeline (draft → review → approved → filed), and partnership returns alongside personal SA.
- Unlimited practice logins Staff share one organisation. Permissions control who can prepare, review, approve or submit — not a per-login fee.
- Individuals file themselves A sole / individual account cannot add other people’s clients. Employment, self-employed & property, or partnership pricing — prepare free, pay when you file.
Form inventory
Every HMRC form on the desk
Each tile is a real form in the product — personal Self Assessment and the partnership pack. Trust SA900 is intentionally out of scope.

Accountants
Practice Self Assessment desk
Multi-client book, partnership returns, review/approve workflow, client approval links and filing credits pricing — without buying a full practice suite.
For accountantsIndividuals
File your own return
Employment, sole trader & property, or partnership pricing. Same pages and calculation as the practice desk — software only, not an accountant and not bookkeeping.
For individualsSecure by design — clear commercial model
Organisation isolation
Each practice or individual workspace is separate. Public marketing pages never load taxpayer data.
Encrypted NINO & UTR
Sensitive identifiers are encrypted at rest and only revealed inside the signed-in organisation when needed.
Prepare free · pay at file
Published individual prices from £39 and accountant credit packs. No monthly suite on the public plans. Drafting does not use a credit.
Clear scope
What this desk does not do
Saying this clearly is how the price stays on Self Assessment. Buy the right product for the other jobs — then keep SA here.
No invoices, bank feeds or VAT. Keep FreeAgent, Xero or QuickBooks.
No CT600, iXBRL or Companies House. Use dedicated corporation tax software for that.
Crunch includes a human. This is software. You stay responsible for the figures.
Year-end Self Assessment is included. Quarterly ITSA is a later add-on.
FAQs
Feature questions, answered
Which Self Assessment pages are supported?
SA100 plus SA101–SA110 as they apply — including employment variants, self-employment (short and full), Lloyd’s, partner’s share, UK property, foreign, trusts on the personal return, capital gains, residence and the SA110 calculation — plus the full partnership SA800 pack (trading pages, SA801–SA804 and partnership statement). Trust SA900 is not included.
Does it handle partnerships?
Yes. Create the partnership, maintain members, complete the SA800 pack and statement, file the partnership return, and copy allocations to each partner’s SA104 on their personal return.
What reports can I produce?
Combined tax calculation, SA302-style estimate, detailed schedule, payment note and tax letter. Paper-style PDFs are available for completed SA pages and the SA800 pack. The estimate is not an official HMRC SA302 until HMRC issues one after filing.
Can my practice get client approval before filing?
Yes. Practices can email a secure approval link. The client approves or declines the figures; the practice then continues on the filing desk.
Can accountants and individuals use the same product?
Yes. Practices work a multi-client book with filing credits. Individuals file only their own return on Employment (£39), Self-employed & property (£49) or Partnership (£69). Same desk either way.
Are amendments included?
Yes. After you have paid for that tax year (or used a credit for that client year), amendments for the same return year are included. Drafting never uses a credit.
Is Making Tax Digital for Income Tax included?
Year-end Self Assessment is in the product now. MTD quarterly updates are planned as a later add-on. Do not buy today if you only need quarterly ITSA submissions.
What is not included?
Bookkeeping, invoices, bank feeds, corporation tax (CT600), payroll, VAT returns, Companies House filings and trust SA900. Keep those in the products built for them — this is the Self Assessment desk.
